June 19-23, 2017, I had the opportunity to be a Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE Trainer) for Hardin County in Savannah, TN. What a blessing, to be a part of a team of dynamic TDOE trainers, as well as be surrounded by enthusiastic adult learners who were “all in” with the Forward Learning tasks, professional in the desire to be excellent in their work, and passionate for the areas of ELA & Math.

As a Reading-Professor, at Southwest Tennessee Community College, the goal is to provide student participants of Shelby and the surrounding regions with a high quality secondary education that prepares them for associate degrees, future educational opportunities, and successful employment by way of developing students’ reading capacity.
